The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted by Congress in 1990 to protect individuals with disabilities from discrimination in access to employment, public services, public accommodations, telecommunications, and transportation. The City's ADA Transition Plan outlines steps to improve accessibility in public buildings and sidewalks.
In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, the City of Lake Worth Beach has developed a grievance procedure to ensure prompt, fair resolution of disability discrimination complaints in city programs or services.
