Public Advisory - Fourth of July Ceremony and Events

Lake Worth Beach, Florida- The City of Lake Worth Beach will be hosting the annual 4th of July Celebration on Thursday July 4th, 2024. The festivities begin with the 21st Annual Great American Raft Race which takes place in Bryant Park. This year’s theme is “Raft Race to Paradise A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett”. ## The Great American Raft Race Schedule of Events: 10:30 am The Great American Raft Race Competitors Parade (Lake Avenue to Bryant Park) 12:00 pm Race Begins The Great American Raft Race is organized by the Neighborhood Association Presidents Council and is an opportunity for local groups to take part in friendly competition and celebrate life in the quirky City by the Sea. ## Fireworks Information Fireworks will be launched from the Lake Worth Beach Golf Club on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 9:00 PM to approximately 10:00 PM. ## Lake Worth Bridge Closure In preparation for the deployment of fireworks, the Lake Worth (Robert Harris) Bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM (approximate) but will remain open prior to these times. Even though the Lake Worth (Robert Harris) Bridge will be closed during the fireworks display all emergency vehicles will be allowed access where necessary. All vehicles wanting to access the Lake Worth Bridge will detour on Federal Hwy to 2nd Ave North then east bound to the Bridge. Once the bridge is closed, for the fireworks display, all bridge traffic will be detoured north bound on Federal Hwy to access the Southern Blvd Bridge. All traffic on A1A will be detoured either north to the Southern Blvd Bridge or south to theLantana Bridge. ## Boat Ramp Closure The Bryant Park Boat Ramp will be closed starting Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 9:00 pm and not reopen until Thursday July 4, 2024 at 10:00 pm. No Boats will be permitted to launch on Thursday July 4th from the Lake Worth Beach Boat Ramps.
