Sarah Malega

Vice Mayor Sarah Malega was first elected to serve as the District 1 City Commissioner in March of 2021. She is a 13-year resident of Lake Worth Beach, and a proud business owner for the last 14 years.  Commissioner Malega is a very active community leader who is committed to making a positive difference for the residents of Lake Worth Beach, especially the youth of our City.

She strives to represent the City as a policy maker who cares about all residents and business owners, with open lines of communication, a welcoming City Hall, transparency and positivity.  She has served on the Florida League of Cities Advocacy Committee and Legislative Committee as well as the Federal Action Strike Team fighting bad legislation and working with higher offices for the benefit of Lake Worth Beach.  The Vice Mayor believes that welcoming new home buyers, new businesses and new development is critical to the City’s future. 

As a successful business owner since 2006, she understands financial challenges, and the ever-changing global and economic landscape, and often acts as a liaison for the business community within the City.  Vice Mayor Malega is enjoying setting Lake Worth Beach apart from other communities as a welcoming, inclusive, livable and unique city and welcomes you to our city!
